Research assistant (M. Sc. Psychology, Bachelor of Music) Christine Sickert initially studied music with horn as her main artistic subject at the Maastricht Conservatory (Netherlands) in the class of Prof Will Sanders and Willy Bessems and completed her Bachelor's degree with distinction in 2018. With the aim of focussing more on the mental health of musicians, she decided against a master's degree in music and studied psychology in 新万博体育_万博体育足彩-app|官网. Together with Prof Daniel S. Scholz and colleagues, she published her research on "Low Self-Esteem and Music Performance Anxiety Can Predict Depression in Musicians". Together with the working group, she developed the "新万博体育_万博体育足彩-app|官网 Inventory for Musicians' Health" (LIMG) to record psychological stress in musicians. Since 2023, Christine Sickert has been working as a doctoral student (Cand. Dr. rer. nat.) in the Musicians' Health working group at the University of Music and the University of 新万博体育_万博体育足彩-app|官网, where she is also involved in teaching in the working group. Her research here focuses on the development and prevention of performance anxiety. She is also completing her training as a psychological psychotherapist with a focus on behavioural therapy and works as a psychologist at the Centre for Integrative Psychotherapy 新万博体育_万博体育足彩-app|官网 (ZiP) at the University Hospital.
